School Year Payment Policy 2011-2012 PAYMENT OF $55 FOR THE 1/2 MONTH OF AUGUST IS DUE AUGUST 1 to secure your spot. SEPTEMBER - MAY $110 per month due the first lesson of the month. The monthly charge secures a weekly half hour slot in my schedule and is not a per lesson fee. The monthly payment is the same every month from September through May. Some months have 5 lessons in them. There is no extra charge for the 5th lesson during those months. During November, December and April we have vacations following the school calendars. See my CALENDAR for info. We are not off for Fall break. There are no make up lessons. I have no time slots in my school year schedule in which to do them. Cancellation Policy: Although this payment policy is figured over the course of the school year it is a month-to-month commitment. If you decide to give up your spot in my schedule you need to give me 30 days notice. If lessons are cancelled because of weather, I will EMAIL you. Otherwise you need to assume that we are still on. Teachers at Shuff’s have keys to the studio area. Even if the store is closed we can still use our rooms. Individual Lesson Option: If you cannot commit to a weekly lesson you can opt for a lesson by lesson plan. Individual lessons are $30 a half hour or $60 an hour. I will be scheduling Saturday lessons twice a month, or if your schedule allows for early afternoon (2:30 or earlier) we may be able to do them during the week. Showcases: Participation is by invitation and is determined by readiness and skill. There is a charge for participation in every show. That amount is based on two factors: One is the out of pocket cost for the venue rental, equipment rental, sound man, stage hands and other pre-show costs. The second is how much of my time is involved outside of lessons to rehearse and handle all the details. Both of these factors vary depending on where we do it how many kids are involved and how each act is configured. The charge will also vary accordingly. Being in the showcases is not a requirement. |
