Valerie Clemente brings a rich musical
background to the table in her approach to
teaching. With 20 plus years as a professional
musician and a musical family history boasting
many professional players and teachers, she has
a depth of life experience that has shaped her
teaching style.
With students ranging in age from 7 to over 50,
from beginners to recording artists and
songwriters wanting to expand their guitar
knowledge she has the versatility to create a
lesson strategy geared towards the ability level
and goals of each individual student. Singing is
greatly encouraged for those who can.
She is known for the many Student Showcases
she has put on at Green’s Grocery, the Franklin
Mercantile and the Franklin Main Street Festival.
Students are rehearsed in duos, trios and full
bands with vocals and drums to perform pop,
rock, original, country and jazz tunes. This proves
to be a great motivator as well as a lot of fun for
all.
She has been involved with Kids On Stage
Summer Academy where she introduced and
directed the jazz band for several years. She
also works with the BGA Jam Camp, another great
summer music camp affiliated with Kids on Stage.
Private lessons are taught at Shuff’s Music in
Franklin and at her home studio Brentwood,
Tennessee.
